We are in search of a Senior Automation Controls Engineer to join our growing team. The Automation Controls Engineer is a highly technical role that is crucial to the success of delivering and maintaining our customers automated solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automation Controls Engineer to be a foundational member of our team. You will have the opportunity of working with and educate likeminded individuals in leading edge automation technologies such as robotics, vision systems, drives and controls systems.

• Everyday:
o Represent the company in a professional manner.
o Adhere to company and departmental policies and guidelines.
o Development of department related standards and procedures.
o Support Sales, Service, and the broader Engineering team’s efforts.
 Attend meetings with customers, sales staff, and vendors.
 Network and develop strong working relationships with customers and vendors
o Carry out assigned tasks with minimal direct supervision.
o Ensuring that the quality, safety, and industry standards are adhered to.
o Educate and/or provide formal training to team members in controls.
• Sales/Project Engineering
o Review and provide feedback on specifications.
o Communicate with all disciplines (Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Technicians, Quality, etc.) throughout the Proposal/Project process.
o Execute assigned projects to meet customer satisfaction, quality, schedule, and cost.
o Define, design and document controls for automated systems.
o Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and applicable industry standards.
o Provide hands-on equipment commissioning and debug.
• Other Duties
o Perform technical support when necessary
o Perform on-site support as necessary
o Robot programming and integration

• Education/Experience
o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
o 3-5 years of work experience as a Controls Engineer, Process Controls Engineer, or similar position.
• Demonstrated ability to understand manufacturing/production process and design and implement controls solutions.
• Understanding of robotic, industrial, design safety procedures and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent mathematical and mechanical skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines
• Ability to travel, both domestic and international, 15%
• Proficient/Capable in working with a variety PLC/HMI
o Proficient with Allen-Bradley RS Logix
o Working knowledge Siemens Step7 TIA Portal
o Working knowledge of Omron
• Familiarity with a variety of industrial Robots
o Kawasaki
o Staubli
o Fanuc
• Demonstrated design and implementation of Vision systems (i.e., Cognex, Keyence, Fanuc IR Vision, etc.)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software like TinkerCAD, BlocksCAD, and Solidworks
