We have an opening for a Contract Labor Advanced Embedded Software Engineer.  This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems.  Our employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

Contract Labor Advanced Embedded Software Engineers conduct or participate in the design, development, and integration of systems software, software applications and/or tools for new programs and subprograms.
Responsibilities may include the following:
• Participate in the full software life-cycle development using object-oriented methodologies and real time operating systems
• Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the development of software
• Assist with design activities and documentation
• Implement software in C/C++
• Low level driver development
• Participate in internal review of software components and systems
• Integrate and test software and systems
• Investigate and solve problem reports

Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of software systems and applications, and the ability to effectively manage, grow and evolve our software solutions.
The successful applicant shall have:
• Experience developing embedded software using C/C++ in a Linux environment
• Embedded Real Time Linux operating system knowledge
• Driver development experience
• Knowledge of D0178B
• Experience with one or more of the following avionics interfaces: Fiber Channel, MIL-STD-1553, IEEE 1394
• Technical writing skills and verbal communications skills

Additional desirable skills and abilities include:
• Network (socket) and network protocol programming
• Experience with a commercial RTOS system (Wind River VxWorks or equivalent)
• FPGA verification
• BIOS and BSP development / integration experience

• DOD, avionics, or medical process experience
• Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

• A Department of Defense security clearance is not required.  Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
