We have an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Systems Engineer with aeronautics experience in the Northridge, CA area!

Job Responsibilities:

 • Full electrical support of the Cabin Pressure Systems product line of valves and associated components including cabin pressure outflow valves, data monitoring units, and control systems.
 • Electrical design and schematics, PCB design, prototype testing/debugging, documentation and engineering release for production.
 • Design verification, product optimization, product verification and certification for Cabin Pressure Systems.
 • New Product Proposals and Development: Coordinate all project stages with the Business Unit Team from proposal through production including:
    o Project schedule creation and follow-up.
    o Create the required engineering drawings and specifications.
    o Coordinate the engineering aspects of the project with the customer.
    o Create development test programs. o Create required qualification test programs including planning, testing, documentation, both analysis and test reports.
    o Support manufacturing engineering, marketing, sales, quality assurance, assembly and test personnel.
    o Coordinate and be a technical liaison with third party resources.
 • Create and maintain design guidelines document for cabin pressure systems components.
 • Troubleshoot problems with the Cabin Pressure Systems valves, embedded circuits, controls, and perform fault isolation.

 • Minimum BS degree in Engineering.
 • 5-7 years of experience in aerospace electrical circuits design, qualification, and manufacturing.
 • 2 years of experience developing software per DO-178B guidelines.  Experience with design of embedded circuits, electrical schematics and isolation of electrical faults.
 • Working knowledge of design & analysis tools for PCB, such as Altium Designer.
 • Knowledgeable in mechanical components containing embedded circuitry with digital logic and ability to understand how the logic drives mechanical operation.
 • Experience with common communication interfaces, such as ARINC-429, software simulation, testing and integration.
 • Experience with qualifying aircraft parts to RTCA/DO-160, DO 178, and DO 254 requirements.
 • Must be able to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, co-workers, and consultants.
 • Willing to work in a fast paced, small company environment.
 • Must be hands on/action oriented and proficient using electronic test equipment and measurement tools.
 • Must be comfortable working independently as well as with cross-functional teams.
 • General PC proficiency and strong skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
 • Must be able to document and execute a schedule/plan in Microsoft Project.
 • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to other Transdigm facilities, suppliers and/or to the customer.
 • Prefer specific experience working on Cabin Pressure outflow valves, data monitoring units, and electrical control systems.
